It’s a bit annoying when there are a million different people going “AAHHHHHHHHH WE GONAAAA WINNNN” at the same time. But I would like there to be an option where you can mute the other people. It’s nice to talk to your friends or just random people if you need help. Now it is usually just every half hour or so. The first few days I had it it would be every few minutes or so I would get kicked. Since I’ve gotten it though, it’s been less frequent. I’ll be about to win a game or something and BOOM, kicked out and to my Home Screen. I think this is because I am on a lower-end device, but if there are any, I would like suggestions to fix this issue or make it less frequent. My first complaint is that it will randomly kick me out. I can’t play other VR games because I am on mobile, but this totally makes up for it. This game is the first VR game I ever down loaded and I love it. More on how to compile and run this in the next section. This is the option to use if you don't have access to a Windows/Mac. He provided some reverse engineered code that requires compiling but can link the camera and set the GUID. Thanks to Clemens Fruhwirth we now have a GUID setting option from Linux. On Mac run 'ifconfig' and look at the 'ether' value. On windows you can see the MAC Address by running 'ipconfig /all' and looking at the 'Physical Address'. Where aa:bb:cc:dd:ee:ff is the MAC Address of your primary interface that communicates with your camera. If you already have Playmemories installed and want to switch to Linux this is the way to go. In order to use this tool you need to link the camera and generate the PTP-GUID. The developer of libgphoto was then kind enough to work with me and incorporate changes to make things work without the hacking. So, I ended up really hacking up the libgphoto code to make this work. I was also hoping I could send these packets directly from python using a different tcp session than gphoto, but no luck. I started off with over a 100 packets being needed and have finally narrowed it down to 23 packets (update: 4 packets to start and 3 packets to end). Doing a series of tcpdumps I was able to determine what packets make it work. I was hoping there would be one magic packet to turn these options on, but this doesn't seem to be the case. Also, the camera will remain on so you can't walk away or else your battery will continue to drain. Without this you have about 2 minutes to transfer the picture before the camera stops and you have no confirmation that it worked. This also goes for the automatic shut down feature when done. Sony requires some non-standard packets to display the 'Sending.' on the camera. Note: User HBDK noticed a shutdown issue starting with a version between 2.5.16 and 2.5.23. This was tested with version 2.5.8.1 using a Sony Alpha ILCE-5000 (version 2.5.8 had an issue for me) Basically once the PTP/IP mode is enabled ('Send to Computer' option selected), you can run a command like this to download all the pictures/videos: The real magic comes from the open source gphoto software. The sony-pm-alt.py python script is really only the UPNP listener. The Playmemories app (or sony-pm-alt.py) see these packets and then turns around and hits the PTP/IP server and transfer the pictures. The UPNP packets contain all the connection details. At the same time the camera starts up A PTP/IP server on port 15740. This is also known as Simple Service Discovery Protocol (SSDP). The moment you enable the 'Send to Computer' option from the Camera it starts broadcasting UPNP UDP packets across the network to the multicast address (239.255.255.250:1900). The way Sony transfers pictures is via PTP/IP (Picture Transfer Protocol over Internet Protocol). The slowness had very little to do with the VM and more with the way Sony rescans every image/video. So, I ended up running a mini windows VM within Linux just to run Playmemories. I created this project because I wanted to be able to transfer my pictures to my Linux machines, but Playmemories was not available for Linux. Transfer pictures wirelessly for a Sony camera without using Playmemories (Sony PM Alternative) BACKGROUND: Megaera's Keepsake is the Skull Earring, which boosts Zagreus's damage when he is low on Health. Her favour is gifted to you after a random number of encounters with the Furies.Īfter gifting her 4 Ambrosia, a conversation will ensue where Zagreus is able to decide whether to remain friends with Megaera, or start a romantic relationship with her instead. Each time you defeat Megaera, she'll appear back at the House of Hades, where you can talk to her and gift her Nectar or Ambrosia. She serves as the game's first boss who you encounter at the end of the Tartarus realm, and is the only character on this list who is an enemy you fight during your escape attempts. There is no drawback to either choice here, so feel free to take back the Ambrosia.ĭusa's Keepsake is the Harpy Feather Duster, which gives broken urns a chance to contain healing items.ĭusa's Companion is Fidi, which summons Dusa in battle to fire petrifying shots at nearby enemies for 30 seconds. Shortly after this point, Dusa will offer to return the 10 Ambrosia you gifted her. During the romance conversation, they will instead agree to remain close thanks to their newly deepened bond. The first gift requires 1 Ambrosia the second requires 2 the third requires 3 and the final gift requires 4.ĭusa is also different from the other two romance options in that she will ultimately conclude that she is asexual and reject the idea of an intimate relationship with Zagreus. She is the only romance option that forces you to give multiple bottles of Ambrosia at once in order to deepen your relationship with her after earning her favour. To earn her favour, you must purchase at least 12 Lounge renovations from the House Contractor, including at least one rug, and cleaning up the damage inflicted by Cerberus. Oh, and - for all the Casanovas out there - you can romance multiple or all of the below characters at once with no negative consequences.ĭusa, the Duty-Bound Gorgon of the House of Hades, is often seen floating around the house with a feather duster, cleaning and generally attempting to stay away from trouble. Let's talk a little bit about each one's romance path below. You can give Nectar to almost every named character in the game, but you can only attempt to romance three characters: Dusa, Megaera, and Thanatos. Not everyone who you can gift Nectar to can be romanced in Hades. Hades romance options: who can you romance? It's worth noting that the gifts must be given one at a time across multiple runs, because (with the exception of Dusa - more info below) it's not possible in Hades to gift multiple bottles of Ambrosia or Nectar at once.

Replace the current name with a new name, save the file (Ctrl x to save, y to confirm) then reboot the pi. To change the hostname you will need to modify the /etc/hostname file. I also like to keep an organized range of IP addresses for all the pi’s since remoting in is more common for me than direct logins. To solve this I change the hostname for each Pi using different pi names (raspberry, blueberry, apple). For those like me with multiple Raspberry Pi’s it becomes a pain to see multiple raspberrypi hostnames. When you join a BOINC project your account will keep track of all hosts connected to it by keeping track of the hostname. Simple setup for a simple desktop environment. sudo apt-get install xfce4Īfter installation the desktop can be started through the terminal using the following command. Once Raspbian has been updated install the Xfce desktop environment. Before installing any Xfce make sure to update and upgrade the current packages. I do not setup my desktops to run on boot since I mostly remote into the pi’s but require to have a GUI occasionally. I chose Xfce since it is one of the lighter end desktop environments and requires no extra steps for running the Xserver. This will give 16 megabytes of memory to the GPU. Choose the Split Memory option and type in 16. To split the memory navigate to the Advanced Options option and click enter. This will tell the Raspberry Pi that there is a lot more space on the micro SD card than the few megabytes that it currently owns. To expand the filesystem choose the Expand Filesystem option. To do this run the following command: sudo raspi-config Raspbian Configurationīefore going any further we need to expand the filesystem and split the memory for the GPU. This article is to record how to setup BOINC on Raspbian as well as a desktop environment (personal preference). Why This Article?Īs previously stated I have had a couple Raspberry Pi 2’s laying around collecting dust and decided to put their processing power to good use. When the computation completes it is sent to the server and a new task is delivered. The end result is that while a person goes about their day using the computer computations will be performed in the background as long as the computer is powered on. The person can decide how much processing power and time to give to the project(s). The server will then register the computer the software is on, assign a Cross Project ID (cpid) and then send tasks to the computer, one for each core (so a four core processor will get four tasks). They then join a project (or multiple projects) by registering with an email address and password (one for each project). This is how it works: A person installs the BOINC software on the computer. These projects range from classifying galaxies to finding cures for diseases such as Malaria, Alzheimer’s and certain strains of cancer. BOINC allows a person to donate their idle processing power to scientific projects. While people use computers every day only a fraction of the total computing power is ever used, leaving large amounts of idle processor time. Use the idle time on your computer (Windows, Mac, Linux, or Android) to cure diseases, study global warming, discover pulsars, and do many other types of scientific research. Raspberry Pi is a trademark of the Raspberry Pi Foundation. Their official website can be found at and respectively. Raspberry Pi & BOINC are not associated with Modern Day Lore and do not endorse it in anyway. Legalīefore continuing we need to take care of some legal procedures. A while back I bought two Raspberry Pi 2’s and decided that it was time to put it to good use instead of collecting dust. For almost a year now I have been participating in BOINC using only a virtualized client on my server. I tested quite a few of the better ones up to $200, including the DragonFly Red, and TL DR, the DragonFly Cobalt is the by far best sounding of them all, albeit not the strongest amplifying one. They start at below $20, and many of the cheaper ones are pure power-draining ornaments that add nothing to the iPhone’s sound. Today, there are portable dac/amp s like sand on the beach it seems. All DragonFlies all have male USB-A connectors that makes them the only dongles that are actually sticks (“thumbdrives”), when connected to a computer’s USB-A port. What I like about the “Black” apart from its power management, is its small form factor, and, of course, its good sound.ĪudioQuest added the more powerful DragonFly Red in 2016, and the DragonFly Cobalt in 2019. The “Black” has been my go to since it is a workhorse that has accompanied me and my iPhones around the world, from Egypt to Brazil. And whereas many other companies have copied AudioQuest’s pioneering ideas since, the Black (jointly with the DragonFly Red) still has the lowest battery consumption of all I have tested with my iPhone. The DragonFly was the first “thumbdrive” dac of its kind, and v1.5 was the first that worked with smartphones because of its low power drain. I purchased its 2016 re-incarnation DragonFly Black v1.5 upon its release. In more real-world terms, though, this is a fantastic DAC that elevates the go-anywhere, work-anywhere abilities that the more affordable models do so well, providing an extra level of performance.First was the DragonFly, which It hit the market in 2012. The DragonFly Cobalt might at first appear to be an odd addition to the range on paper, and if you need support for very hi-res PCM and DSD you will need to look elsewhere. In the time it is on test, I barely hear a moment’s cellular noise and this is vital in ensuring you are drawn into the music itself rather than being constantly distracted. The simple act of using a male USB connection also pays dividends because it allows the Cobalt to attach directly and avoid having an extra run of cabling acting like an aerial for interference. AudioQuest’s efforts at resisting noise levels have also been extremely successful. For Tidal users in particular, the combination of its small size, MQA support and ability to drive any earphone (and indeed most headphones) far beyond any sane listening level means you can enjoy its excellent performance while maintaining an easily portable set of components. It is as a mobile DAC that the Cobalt really shines, though. It manages to do this without any subjective loss of dynamics or punch and it is a very elegant balancing act. While I would hesitate to describe either the Black or the Red as fatiguing, there is a more natural feeling to the way the Cobalt handles the unplugged version of Emily King’s Can’t Hold Me that makes it easier and more enjoyable to listen to for extended periods. There is a spaciousness and order to the music that the more affordable DAC cannot achieve as reliably. Listening to the entirely instrumental Black Swans And Wormhole Wizards by Joe Satriani, reveals subtle details and microdynamics in Satriani’s playing that elude the DragonFly Red. Listening to the Cobalt attached directly to a Roon Nucleus+ (HFC 439) shows that the new decoding and filter arrangements offer significant advantages over the Red. As so many rivals lack any form of driverless operation at all, this is a significant plus point for the AudioQuest. Doing so means that it doesn’t require any USB driver so you can use it on any computer. There is a method in the madness as to why the maximum sample rate of 96kHz has been selected. Volume is adjusted on the connecting device, and the sole indicator is the DragonFly logo that lights and changes colour to indicate different sample rates. A male USB-A connection is fitted at one end and AudioQuest supplies a USB-C adapter in the box. The Cobalt uses sufficiently little power that it can be connected to a mobile phone or tablet via a relevant adapter. These refinements are partnered with a range of measures to reduce its susceptibility to noise and interference. There’s also a new filter arrangement that uses a minimum phase, slow roll off filter claimed to make it more satisfying to listen to long term. It is still built around an ESS Sabre DAC, but the higher spec ES9038Q2M is used with an ESS 9601 volume controller. Where the Cobalt differs, however, is internally. Plus the maximum sample rate supported is a relatively low 24-bit/96kHz, although native MQA decoding is supported. And it must be said, it is a bit of a head scratcher at first as there appears to be no difference between it and the Black, which is £180 cheaper. The Cobalt is designed to augment the existing Black and Red (HFC 414) members of AudioQuest’s DragonFly family of DACs. pubescens seed on CYP3A4 inhibition was also determined. Since antidiabetic herbs are used along with oral hypoglycemic agents, the effect of H. The mechanisms by which this herb reduces blood glucose levels were also determined by evaluating its effect on different physiologic mechanisms involved in glucose homeostasis such as secretion of insulin, glucose metabolism, α-glucosidase enzyme inhibition, and protein glycation. The study determined the hypoglycemic and insulin-secreting effect of the methanolic extract of this herb on oral glucose tolerance test and type-2 diabetes in rats. pubescens seeds for the treatment of type-II diabetes. The present study was carried out to confirm the antidiabetic effect of traditionally used H. None of the studies so far have attempted to identify the phytoconstituents and finally and no attempt was made to understand the mechanism(s) of antidiabetic action of this widely used herbal medicine. The herb is used traditionally in the management of only type-2 diabetes. pubescens administered nicotinamide ( Furman, 2021). Though the administration of nicotinamide before streptozocin to induce diabetes in adult rats is reported to protect some pancreatic insulin-secreting cells, none of the reported studies on H. All the studies in diabetic rats were conducted after the induction of diabetes by a single dose of streptozocin which results in the loss of all pancreatic cells in about 5 days and is a model for type-1 insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus ( Deeds et al., 2011). Several drugs are available in the market for the management of diabetes and each of these drugs acts through different mechanisms ranging from prevention of glucose absorption, increasing insulin secretion, and enhancing glucose transport into the cells( DeFronzo et al., 2019).ĭespite the wide use of this plant in the management of diabetes traditionally, the pharmacological studies reported so far have several flaws. pubescens inhibits glucosidase (Ali et al., 2011b). Another study found that a hydromethanolic seed extract of H. There are several reports on the antidiabetic effect of this herb on streptozocin-induced diabetes (Ali et al., 2011a Hegde and Res, 2014, Keshri, 2012, Kumar and Yadav, 2015, Pathak et al., 2015, Sheikh et al., 2013). pubescens is used traditionally used in the treatment of diabetes ( Ocvirk et al., 2013). Plant products are widely used for the management of diabetes either alone or as supplements with modern drugs ( Ansari et al., 2022, Bindu and Narendhirakannan, 2019). It is also known to act as a memory enhancer (Ali et al., 2011a). The herb has been reported for several pharmacological effects such as antipyretic, antidysentery, antidiarrheal, anthelmintic, antibacterial, and anti-amoebic effects ( Jamadagni et al., 2017). pubescens is widely used in traditional medicine in the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders ( Jamadagni et al., 2017). It is also available in the Middle East where it is popularly known as ‘ the tongue of the bird’. Don, (Family- Apocynaceae) commonly known as Tellicherry bark (English) is a medicinally significant plant native to Africa and Asia's tropical and subtropical areas( Zahara et al., 2020). The herb is devoid of CYP3A4 inhibitory effect indicating that it may not have pharmacokinetic interaction with the drug metabolized by this enzyme. pubescens seed extract increases insulin secretion and inhibits glucose absorption both in-vivo and in-vitro with a weak protein glycation inhibitory effect. However, it had a very weak inhibitory effect on protein glycation and it did not affect the activity of CYP3A4. The extract also inhibited α –glucosidase enzyme activity and demonstrated that it can increase the secretion of insulin from INS to 1-rat insulinoma cell line cells in-vitro in a concentration-dependent manner. It also reduced the serum glucose levels in streptozocin-induced diabetes. The seed extract increased serum insulin levels and reduced serum blood glucose levels in the oral glucose tolerance test. Its potential for herb-drug interaction was evaluated in the cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) inhibition assay. The probable mechanism of action was evaluated in-vitro by α - glucosidase inhibition, glucose metabolism in insulinoma (INS-1) cells to reflect secretion of insulin, and protein glycation inhibition. The current work determined the oral hypoglycemic and antidiabetic effects of seed extract in rats. Holarrhena pubescens is widely used in Indian and Chinese medicine in the treatment of diabetes. The most recent division champions are the Denver Nuggets, having won a sixth division championship in the 2022–23 NBA season. Other than this franchise re-location, the division's membership has remained unchanged since its creation. The SuperSonics moved to Oklahoma City prior to the 2008–09 season and became the Thunder, but remained in the Northwest Division. The Trail Blazers and SuperSonics joined from the Pacific Division, while the Nuggets, the Timberwolves and Jazz joined from the now-defunct Midwest Division. The Northwest Division began with five inaugural members: the Nuggets, the Timberwolves, the Trail Blazers, the SuperSonics and the Jazz. The league realigned itself into three divisions in each conference. The division was created at the start of the 2004–05 season, when the league expanded from 29 to 30 teams with the addition of the Charlotte Bobcats. The Northwest Division is by far the most geographically expansive of the six divisions the Nuggets, Trail Blazers and Jazz are geographically closer to the Pacific Division, the Timberwolves are geographically closer to the Central Division, and the Thunder is geographically closer to the Southwest Division, although in the latter instance that was not the case when the division was formed as the Thunder were still the Seattle SuperSonics. The division consists of five teams: the Denver Nuggets, the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Portland Trail Blazers and the Utah Jazz. The Northwest Division is one of the three divisions in the Western Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Let’s brainstorm today! That means that we can make Him sad with our poor choices in life. If the Holy Spirit lives in us, what kind of home would He want to have? Would He want a home full of trash, like you saw when you walked into class today? Would He want a home full of sin? No! In Ephesians 4:30, it actually says that we can grieve the Holy Spirit. If we have asked Jesus to forgive us of our sins, and we turn from those sins to follow God, then we have the Holy Spirit living with us! How does that make you feel? (Terrified, good, confused, or like you want to eat M & M’s or something?) In our verse today, it says that our body is His temple, or His home. We also learned that the Holy Spirit lives in you and will be with you. What did we compare the Trinity to? (An egg with three parts and water in its three stages.) There is God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit who lives within us. We learned last week that the Holy Spirit is a part of the Trinity of God. Please turn in your Bibles to 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (or have it referenced somewhere as a visual.) “Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own you were bought at a price. Learning Activity #1: “His Home in Us” (A Bible Study) Having you here makes me want to hide it! Oh what should I do? Through an object lesson, a Bible study, small groups, and an art project, students will learn that the Holy Spirit makes His home in the lives of believers. They were first prepared for a Children’s Church setting, but would work well as a Sunday School lesson also. This is the second in a series of four Bible lessons for children teaching them about the Holy Spirit. |
